Scarlet red with glimmers of garnet. A bouquet with notes of dark cherry, star anise, smoky bacon, and ripe blackberry followed by a hint of cola nut. On the palate, bold and complex flavors of marionberry, black cherry pie, cranberry, and raspberry jam. The texture is rich and lively, and leads into a warm and structured finish. Pairs well with Italian sausage with spaghetti squash and marinara sauce, prime rib, or pasta puttanesca.
